Love and intimacy in a time of climate panic. 

you exhale, a comfortable mist of breath,

your DNA collected kaleidoscopic

in condensation on the bedroom windows

Your eyes remind me of

A photo of his daughter

when she was just about your age

Bright and wise, looking for something lost

And knowing a little too much, maybe

How I have been enlightened to just how ‘at home’ I feel in nature came about through the need to grieve and not knowing just how much
